What to Expect in Therapy
Starting therapy can feel uncertain. You do not need to show up with a plan or explain everything perfectly. In our first sessions, we focus on building comfort, exploring what feels most urgent or stuck, and setting goals that are actually useful to you.
You will not be asked to perform or justify your experience. We work from a foundation of consent, transparency, and respect for how your brain and body respond to stress. Over time, therapy becomes a space where patterns start to make more sense and change begins to feel possible.
There is no pressure to open up before you are ready. We will check in regularly to make sure the pace and approach still feel right. Some sessions are structured and skill-focused. Others are slower, reflective, or centered on processing a specific moment or memory. The format shifts based on what is happening in your life and what you need that week.
