Approach

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT helps identify the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Together, we explore patterns that may be contributing to anxiety, depression, overwhelm, or self-doubt and work toward developing healthier, more balanced ways of thinking and coping. This approach focuses on practical tools that can support meaningful and lasting change.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
DBT builds skills in emotional regulation, distress tolerance, mindfulness, and communication. It supports balance between acceptance and change, helping you manage intense emotions without losing connection to yourself or others. DBT can be especially helpful for individuals who feel emotionally overwhelmed, reactive, or stuck in painful relational patterns.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)
Solution-Focused Therapy emphasizes strengths, resilience, and practical change. Together, we identify what is already working and build from there. This approach helps create realistic and meaningful steps forward while focusing on your abilities, goals, and existing resources rather than remaining stuck in the problem itself.

Person-Centered Therapy
Person-Centered Therapy is grounded in trust, authenticity, and your unique lived experience. I believe you are the expert on your own life, even during moments when things may feel uncertain or overwhelming. I strive to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, respected, and safe enough to explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences at your own pace.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT focuses on building psychological flexibility and helping you respond to difficult thoughts and emotions with greater openness and self-compassion. Rather than trying to eliminate discomfort completely, ACT helps you learn how to make space for your experiences while still moving toward the life and values that matter most to you.

My belief is that healing begins with feeling safe enough to slow down, breathe, and exist without judgment. From that place, growth, insight, and meaningful change become possible. As a person-centered and trauma-informed therapist, I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, maternal mental health concerns, and women’s issues. I am passionate about creating a space where clients feel genuinely supported, understood, and accepted exactly as they are.

I have worked in the behavioral health field, supporting individuals through vulnerable and emotionally difficult experiences. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Michigan and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Spring Arbor University. I completed my counseling internship at Restore & Renew Counseling Services, where I provided individual and group counseling services for adults under supervision. These experiences shaped me into a therapist who values authenticity, emotional safety, and compassion in meeting people rather than judgment.

I believe therapy is not about “fixing” who you are. Instead, I view therapy as a collaborative process that helps you better understand yourself, strengthen coping tools, and create a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and aligned with your values.

I place strong importance on the therapeutic relationship and believe meaningful change happens when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves. My goal is to create a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where we can explore emotions, process difficult experiences, identify patterns, and build practical tools that support long-term wellness and resilience.
